‘SUMMER 2025 PARKS & TRAILS CHALLENGE’ FOR DUBLIN

Jun 30, 2025 | Nationwide News

Dublin’s four local authorities have launched the Summer 2025 Parks & Trails Challenge under the Active Cities Dublin initiative – and starting on 1 July, participants will have until 1 September to complete as many challenges as possible.

This initiative aims to inspire residents and visitors to explore local parks and trails across the Greater Dublin Area, promoting healthy outdoor activity and community engagement.

By taking part in the challenge, walkers will be entered into a draw to win prizes sponsored by 53degrees North.

There are 24 walks to choose from, carefully selected across Dublin’s parks and trails. The more locations visited, the more challenges completed, the greater the chances to win.

  • Download the Dublin Discovery Trails App from the App store or from the QR code on posters advertising the challenge.
  • Go to the Active Cities Dublin Park & Trails Page.
  • Click on the park of your choice.
  • Scan QR code located on a map of the chosen park or trail.
  • The App will record the QR codes.
  • Once location is visited or QR code scanned, it will update a user’s profile on the App.
  • Four campaigns to win prizes.
  • Once QR codes are scanned from a completed walk in each local authority area, then enter the competition.

All walks and locations are available on the Dublin Discovery Trails App, which includes detailed maps and information for each walk.
