Meath County Council will host ‘Retrofit Expo Meath’ at the council’s office in Buvinda House on Wednesday 2 April to ‘de-mystify’ all elements of energy efficiency from sustainable building practices to the green financial options available for homes and businesses in Meath.
Representatives from Meath County Council’s departments such as Climate Action and Vacant Homes in addition to Local Enterprise Office Meath will provide detailed information on grants and supports tailored to meet people’s needs. The Mount Lucas Retrofit Truck on-site will allow people to see first-hand energy efficient building methods and retrofitting techniques such as heat pumps, air tightness and insulation.
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) will be in attendance to introduce the SEC programme, Business Energy Upgrade Scheme (BEUS), and various SEAI retrofit grants and supports while representatives from banks and credit unions will take people through loan options available to help retrofit homes.
Limited places for workshops on energy efficiency, retrofitting techniques and the latest in sustainable building technologies will be available to the public on Wednesday 2 April and Friday 4 April. Spaces are limited and will be given out on a first come, first served basis. To book your place, click here (link to site).
