Apr 8, 2026 | Nationwide News

Nominations are now open for the Business Post Sustainable Awards for 2026, which will take place on Thursday 1 October at The Shelbourne, Dublin, to recognise the organisations across Ireland doing credible, commercially grounded work in sustainability.

The EV Awards return this year as part of the Sustainable Business Awards, bringing together the full sustainability ecosystem under one event. This expanded programme underscores how innovation in low-carbon transport, renewable energy and broader decarbonisation strategies are integral to Ireland’s ambition to build greener, more resilient business models.

The Business Post Sustainable Business Awards celebrate outstanding leadership, innovation and impact in sustainability across Ireland’s business community. Now in their fifth year, the awards have become a benchmark for excellence in Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) practice, recognising organisations of all sizes that are driving meaningful progress towards a more sustainable economy and society.

Previous winners have included An Post, Bus Eireann, Bord na Mona and University College Cork. The awards are adjudicated upon by an independent panel of experts in environmental, social and governance issues. Entry to the awards is entirely free and open to businesses of all sizes, based in or operating from Ireland. Nominations close on 30 June.
