The 2027 LAMA Awards, now in their 21st year, continue to grow nationally each year to celebrate collaboration between communities and councils throughout the country. The annual event brings together local authorities, communities, businesses, and public sector organisations to celebrate excellence, innovation, and achievement in local government and community development.
Every year these awards provide the platform to showcase outstanding local initiatives, honour unsung heroes, and acknowledge the remarkable contributions that enrich and strengthen communities across the country. Ivan Yates, broadcaster, businessman and former politician, will once again be Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the 2027 LAMA All Ireland Community & Council Awards.
The 2026 LAMA All-Ireland Community & Council Awards celebrated three significant milestones – the 20th anniversary of the awards programme, 40 years of the LAMA Executive, and a century of main sponsorship by IPB Insurance.
