Entries are now open for the 2026 KPMG Irish Independent Property Industry Excellence Awards, marking 11 years of recognising the leadership, innovation and purpose driving Ireland’s property industry. A new category award this year will focus on subcontractors and SMEs who have contributed to property projects across any sector.
The Property Industry Excellence Awards (often called the ‘Oscars’ of the Irish property sector) is one of the largest business networking events on the property industry calendar, bringing together over 1,000 leading figures from the sector. As the only property awards endorsed by relevant industry bodies, the awards hold a unique position in that commercial sponsorship of individual award categories is not permitted. This is to maintain the integrity of the judging process and to ensure that every winner earns their accolade on merit alone.

These awards play an important role in capturing the full breadth of the industry.”
She noted that these awards play an important role in capturing the full breadth of the sector, adding that they recognise not just commercial success but the leadership, innovation and purpose that drive lasting impact. “The ambition across Ireland’s property sector is clear, and with housing at the top of the national agenda, there is an acute need to champion those turning that intent into real, lasting impact.”
The closing date is 2 October and the winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony on 5 November at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
The 2026 programme features 10 award categories:
- Construction Project Award: Completed projects of any scale or sector on the island of Ireland.
- Developer Award: Firms actively shaping Ireland’s built environment.
- Subcontractor Award (new for 2026): Subcontractors and SMEs who contributed to property projects across any sector.
- Architecture Award: Irish projects demonstrating design excellence and positive impact.
- Placemaking & Planning Award: Transformation or conservation of public spaces that enhance community and quality of life.
- Agency of the Year (two categories): Agencies with 10 or fewer employees, and those with more than 10 employees.
- PropTech Award: Irish-based technology providers leading digital transformation across property and construction.
- Real Estate Investment & Asset Management Award: Firms that deliver outstanding investment performance while demonstrating excellence in asset management and strategic foresight.
- Rising Star Award: Emerging professionals with under 10 years’ experience and a focus on legal, finance and funding.
- Housing Award: Projects addressing Ireland’s urgent housing needs across social, co-operative, public and private delivery.
Entries will be assessed by an independent judging panel drawn from across the industry’s key sectors – planning, architecture, construction, agency, finance, technology, engineering, advisory, academic and state.
New judges joining the independent judging panel this year include Tomás Kelly, President of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland; David Howard, Director of Property Industry Ireland; Meabh Smith, Communications Director at the Construction Industry Federation and Kay Maguire, President of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers.
