Dublin Climate Action Week 2025, which takes place from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 May, will coincide with National Bike Week, bringing together climate action and active travel to highlight the strong connection between sustainable transportation and climate solutions.
The week will once again be organised and delivered by Fingal County Council, Dublin City Council, South Dublin County Council, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, the Dublin Metropolitan Climate Action Regional Office (CARO) and Codema – Dublin’s Energy Agency. It will feature regional and local events covering a range of topics to showcase the ongoing efforts, ambitions and the collaborative approach of the four Dublin local authorities, in addressing climate action.
In a joint statement announced at the launch of Dublin Climate Action Week 2025, the Mayors of Fingal County Council and South Dublin County Council, the Lord Mayor of Dublin City Council, and the Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, said that “this collaboration with National Bike Week will present a fantastic range of events, encouraging all to participate in meaningful action towards a more sustainable future. We would encourage everyone to get involved and make the most of this important week”.
Through workshops, interactive activities, demonstrations, family fun days and festivals, all participants will have the opportunity to learn how small everyday changes can contribute to a healthier environment. The full programme of events will open for bookings in mid-April.
