ALL-IRELAND COMMUNITY AND COUNCIL AWARDS 2025

Jan 10, 2025 | Nationwide News

This year’s All-Ireland Community and Council Awards will be presented by LAMA (Local Authority Members’ Association) and IPB Insurance, on 22 February at Cork’s Rochestown Park Hotel.

A record 311 nominations were submitted for this year’s awards and judging is now underway. The initiative, now in its 19th year, serves to recognise and celebrate all local communities and 31 councils working together, providing an opportunity to highlight and celebrate the work done within Irish communities to reward those unsung heroes and recognise the phenomenal contribution they continue to make to local life.

The Chair of LAMA, Cllr Damien Ryan, noted that each one of Ireland’s 31 local authorities wholeheartedly supports the LAMA awards, adding that the standard of entries has gone from strength-to-strength year on year.

“The awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise and appreciate the excellent work and commitment of people right across the country who have a deep-rooted sense of pride and appreciation for their respective communities. I want to acknowledge and thank IPB insurance for their continuous support of excellence in Local Government and the community.”
